Michael Oakeshott Association
The Michael Oakeshott Association was founded in 1999. What began as a very modest and informal forum for discussion of Oakeshott snowballed into a fully fledged 501(c) (3) non-profit (registered in the USA). The inaugural conference of the Association took place at the London School of Economics (2001) and subsequent conferences were held at Colorado College (2003, 2006) and Jena (2007).

This site uses the original but now superceded domain name of the Michael Oakeshott Association, but it appears not to contain any content actually about Oakeshott (the British political philosopher, who died in 1990); hence, the choice of domain name is quite misleading.

The current MO Association web site uses a .com rather than a .org address (http://www.michael-oakeshott-association.com)
