With Held - 10/20/08 08:02:58 - 148.87.1.172My son attended Steve's camp. He really enjoyed it. He ended up being recruited to play on one of Steve's teams. Unfortunately, this is where things went south. Steve showed no commitment to the team or to developing the players' skills - refusing to travel with them, refusing to even coach "cold weather" tournaments, threatening to not coach districts unless he was paid some costs that were never presented to parents beforehand - basically holding the kids tourney hostage. Then, after the season, he asked the parents for MORE money for expenses that were not agreed upon and exhibited the most unprofessional behavior you can imagine. He may have been a good player, and the camp was enjoyable - but unfortunately, he was a lousy coach. I have since heard that he had similar problems at previous coaching engagements - like Florida Gulf Coast University. I would strongly recommend that no parent let his kid play on one of Mr. Jensen's teams.
