Alex Tasi - 09/08/09 15:02:10 - 68.49.61.216When I phoned Loopers some months back for a rough estimate for a Citroen gas tank refurbishment, I was given a range of $350-450. My tank is solid, but rusty inside. I recently took them the tank for an inspection prior to them preforming the work. They contacted me several days later to tell me the work would now cost $570 ??. I then found several other "Renu" dealers that have done many Citroen tanks for the cost I was initially quoted ($350-450). I prefer to deal with local businesses, but decided to send my business elsewhere...Oh and Loopers charged me $30 just to look at the tank and give me their ridiculous price! Even with their "cleaning & estimate" charge ( tank was untouched, certainly not cleaned ) and the shipping to and from another "Renu" dealer, I will still spend a lot less than their $570. Please shop around if you intend to have this service preformed..it will be worth your time.
