Lamanai Outpost Lodge, Belize
Chinko and Chinka were orphaned black howler monkeys, successfully raised by lodge owners Mark & Monique Howells as well as many others at the Lamanai Field Research Center. The final phase of their reintroduction occured at the end of 1999. Perched on a hillside overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the New River Lagoon, the Lamanai Outpost Lodge provides a jungle experience unlike any other.
