PAMster - 05/27/09 14:49:46 - 71.12.16.210Our group has used Localendar.com for several years and generally found the service satisfactory. Last year we subscribed to the Premium service, which enabled our calendar to be displayed without any ads. (Public calendars displayed by free users DO contains ads, contrary to the misleading statement above.) The Premium subscription also allows us to upload our own clip art files for our calendar entries.
Recently our premium subscription was renewed automatically via PayPal. Although the payment has been confirmed by PayPal, our Premium subscription has lapsed, our calendar has been downgraded to the standard-level free service, our calendar displays advertising by Google (some of which doesn't even relate to our part of the country, due to similar community names) and all of our private clip art images have vanished. What's worse, we haven't heard a word from Localendar.com Customer Support, despite several messages we have sent requesting them to investigate and resolve the matter. From other messages posted in the Support forums, it is clear that we are not alone in our miseries.
At this time we can NOT recommend Localendar.com's Premium subscription options due to unreliable service and poor customer support response to issues encountered by paying customers. If you want to use the free service, it does what they say it does (but WITH advertising). Otherwise, caveat emptor!
