Marilyn Nelson Clark - 11/11/08 07:31:30 - 207.200.116.139My friend, Bob Wrisley, and I have enjoyed many West Coast Live shows, beginning at the Plush Room, and now, at the Ferry Building. We attended last Saturday's Ferry Building show (8 November 2008), which, again, was excellent. I,in particular (being a tango dancer), enjoyed the tango music.
But that is not my reason here for writing. My reason is that I especially want to say "touche" in praise for Sedge when he was interviewing Rite Moreno. She had spent at least three minutes discussing the crude language and behavior of many folks today, putting emphasis on young people. Then a few minutes later she described in detail having seen the private parts of a man of her acquaintance. Sedge, being the gentleman that he is, actually turned red in the face. Noticing that, Moreno pointed at him, making fun of his obvious embarrassment. When he collected himself, he leaned gently toward the lady and said, "I suppose that is what you mean by the coarsing down of our society." I wanted to shout out for Sedge, "Touche, touche, touche!"
