Ask Jeeves
Conventional search engines search the entire world wide web for a keyword, or words, entered by the user. This leads to the dreaded "there are 24,567 responses to your query." Focusing a search using a conventional search engine requires Boolean searching, a cumbersome process with which many users are unfamiliar. By contrast, an Ask Jeeves user enters his or her question in plain English and is directed to one, or at most two or three, web sites that answer the question. Ask Jeeves also suggests follow-up
