Center for Literacy Studies
The Center for Literacy Studies (CLS) was founded by The Unversity of Tennessee in 1988 in order to bring the strengths of multiple disciplines to the issues of literacy. The Center's charge was to link interdisciplinary efforts within the University with practitioners in the field of adult literacy.
