Fractal Pages of Paul N. Lee
Fractal Pages frac tal (fr k tel) n. A geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractals are used especially in computer modeling of irregular patterns and structures in nature. Fractals are extensions of traditional Euclidean shapes, such as lines, squares, and circles, with two ...

Paul has been involved with fractal imagery ever since finding out about fractals back in the late 1980's. He may not be a mathematician, but he does have college level math capabilities (one of his degrees was in Engineering). Paul is mainly a software programmer and database designer, and has been doing that professionally since 1974. Before then, he was a Technical Illustrator and Graphic Artist (which is the other one of his degrees). He has been, and currently is, a "Beta Tester" for many fractal generators. And quite a few of the major applications have implemented several of his ideas and suggestions over the years. These days, when it concerns fractals, his main interest is passing on knowledge to the average individual (who usually has never been involved with fractals) and letting them know where they can acquire the basic software for producing both formulas and images.

When it comes to fractals, there is not much going on that Paul N. Lee is not aware of. He was a large influence back in the heyday of the Usenet Newsgroups, and became the "moderator" for the A.B.P.F. group on fractals. He was always there to lend a helpful hand to everyone seeking information, and has done a lot for the fractal community.

Paul also hosts the web pages of Jim Muth, Paul Derbyshire, and "O", plus the new and revised "Spanky Fractal Database". He is owner and/or moderator for several fractal related lists and forums around the Internet. (And is usually found to be a member of almost all of the others.)
