The Summulae of John Buridan
The Summulae of John Buridan by Gyula Klima John Buridan and his Summulae John Buridan (1295/1305 1358/61) was undoubtedly one of the most influential philosophers of the late Middle Ages. Nevertheless, as is usual with medieval authors, we do not know much about his life. His date and place of birth are uncertain. He was born somewhere in the diocese of Arras in Picardy , sometime around 1300.
