Ben's AppleScripts.
I find Apple's system-level scripting utility, AppleScript, to be a very useful automation tool. AppleScript is one of the many poorly promoted advantages of using Macintosh. I mainly use AppleScript for server automation tasks, which I trigger either on system startup or on a schedule using the previously freeware T-Minus Ten application/extension utility (now at version 2.2 and available at the T-Minus Ten home page).
