guest - 07/26/08 18:25:33 - 75.71.202.60worst experience ever. the train was disgusting. the bathrooms were dirty, the seats were filthy and the air conditioning stopped working. they didn't even bother to tell us that the generator broke and we definitely didn't get an apology from them. we took our 3 small children and the staff did nothing to make it easier for us. boarding was ridiculous. they just make you stand out in the hot sun, fending for yourself. they definitely should have let small children and the eldery board first. i couldn't believe how rude the staff was. one young woman was so rude, she is the reason why i'm reviewing our trip. i still can't get over how terrible the service was.
it was an amazing view, but i regret ever stepping foot on the train. it just wasn't worth the price we paid. the departure trip was very slow. we stopped somewhere and then we quicckly raced back to the station. all the while, rafters were mooning and showing thier boobs to everyone. it was disgusting. i understand they were having fun, but they saw children there and didn't seem to care.
i would definitely recommend you check out he gorge, however, think twice before getting on that train. it just wasn't worth it. big thumbs down for bad service and for an old/dirty train!!
