The newly restored, historic 1854 University of Michigan Detroit Observatory serves as a museum and a center for 19th century science, technology, and culture. The website offers a schedule of events, history of the observatory, extensive treatment of its 1997-98 restoration, local astronomy activities, information about the staff and administration, etc. and is updated and enhanced regularly.
