The Allan Kardec Educational Society (AKES) was founded in August of 1984 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with the purpose of disseminating the ideas and ideals of the Spiritist Doctrine. AKES is primarily concerned with the spiritual dimension of life, and the ethics that stem from the perspective that life is a continuous phenomenon in no sense of form interrupted by physical death.
