The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce serves the cities of Hampton, Newport News, and Poquoson, and the counties of James City and York.

Northampton County and Cape Charles have many opportunities for the future with the development of land surrounding Cape Charles. Bay Creek, a development project by Baymark Construction, encompasses approximately 1800 acres of land surrounding the Town of Cape Charles. Plans include residential communities as well as two PGA championship golf courses designed by two of the top players in the golfing community, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Construction has already begun.

Prince William County is located in Northern Virginia approximately 35 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. Prince William is bounded by Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in the north, Fauquier County in the west, Stafford county in the south and the Potomac River (Maryland) in the east. Prince William contains four incorporated towns: Haymarket, Dumfries, Occoquan and Quantico. It borders the North Carolina state line. The incorporated city covers an area of 43.678 square miles. Pittsylvania County covers 983 square miles.
