COMET: Cooperative Program for Operational Meteorology, Education and Training
The COMET Program was originally envisioned as a broad effort to affect meteorology education and training in the United States. However, the program has recently been involved in activities to enhance meteorology education in universities and meteorological services throughout the world. The COMET program director is Dr. Timothy Spangler.
