The tank is a little larger around than a twin sized bed, and chest height. It contains 10" of water with 800 pounds of epsom salt dissolved in it. The salt makes the water so heavy, that when you lie on your back, your body pops up and floats like a cork, weightless, like an astronaut in space. There is a lightweight door that you can leave open, or if you want to get rid of the distractions of noise and light, you can close the door.
