Generation X Coalition
The Generation X Coalition was originally formed in 1996 as a not for profit, membership/advocacy organization. Our intent was to give a political voice and forum to our generation. We have encouraged and supported political activism by our generation and the fielding of candidates to public office of our generation. We have intersected with many wonderfully talented individuals, people who think and feel deeply about who we are as a generation and where we are going as a generation.

Talking About Our Generation: Differences between Gen X'ers and Baby Boomers
Article by Auren Hoffman, March 1997. For those of us who grew up on MTV, video games, and microwave dinners, "Generation X" is far from a complimentary term. The phrase "Baby Boomer" has a nice ring to it, but "Generation X" suggests that my generation, those people born in the United States between 1963 and 1983, are lost or undefined.
