The mission of the Division of Adolescent and School Health is to: identify the highest priority health risks among youth, monitor the incidence and prevalence of those risks, implement national programs to prevent risks, and, evaluate and improve those programs.

Add Health is a school-based study of the health-related behaviors of adolescents in grades 7-12. It has been designed to explore the causes of these behaviors, with an emphasis on the influence of social context.

The Society for Adolescent Medicine, established in 1968, promotes research and disseminates information on adolescent medicine to interested organizations and professionals. It holds one scientific meeting a year, identifies careers in adolescent medicine, and helps plan and coordinate professional education in the field. Physician referrals are available from the Society.

The IAAH is a multidisciplinary, non-government organization with a broad focus on youth health. IAAH supports the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) and is committed to the principles of youth empowerment in all aspects of its affairs.
